South Broward packs a lot into a few miles. Hollywood, Hallandale Beach and Dania Beach run from the beach towers on A1A, through older neighborhoods with tree-lined streets, to the I-95 and US-441 corridors. They sit between Fort Lauderdale and the Miami-Dade line, a short drive down I-95 from our NW 55th St yard. Here’s what to expect when you ship a car to or from this part of the county.
Neighborhood by neighborhood
- Hollywood Beach and the Broadwalk. These are narrow one-way streets off A1A, with condos and small hotels and almost no curb space. Pickups here nearly always happen at a meeting point west of the Intracoastal.
- Hollywood Lakes and Emerald Hills. These are established neighborhoods with mature trees, curving streets and low branches. A carrier can reach some streets but not others, so we check your exact block before pickup day.
- Downtown Hollywood around Young Circle. The roundabout and the streets around Hollywood Boulevard are busy and tight. The usual plan is a lot nearby or a pickup on a wider street like Dixie Highway or US-1.
- Hallandale Beach. There’s a dense run of high-rise condos along A1A and the Intracoastal, plus the Hallandale Beach Boulevard corridor. Condo garages, guard desks and loading-zone rules all come into play.
- Dania Beach. This is a mix of older single-family streets and newer development near US-1 and Stirling Road, close to the airport. It’s generally easier for trucks west of US-1.
- West Hollywood. The neighborhoods along Sheridan Street, Taft Street and Hollywood Boulevard toward US-441 and Florida’s Turnpike have wider roads and more room to load.
High-rise pickups along A1A
Hallandale and Hollywood have some of the tallest condo towers in Broward. These buildings are great places to live and awkward places to load a car carrier. Here’s what works:
- Don’t plan on the garage. Car carriers are far too tall for condo parking entrances. You or the valet bring the car out.
- Ask about valet authorization. Many buildings will move a resident’s car to the street only with written permission. Set that up before pickup day.
- Pick a meeting point west of A1A. A1A has heavy winter traffic and no safe place to stop a carrier. Plaza lots along Hallandale Beach Boulevard, Hollywood Boulevard or Sheridan Street are the usual choices.
- Give the front desk a heads-up. Share the date, the window and the driver’s company name if you have it.

Winter residents in south Broward
Hollywood and Hallandale Beach fill up in winter. Many seasonal residents ship a car down in fall and back up in spring instead of making the drive on I-95 twice. If that’s you, book the southbound run early, because lanes into South Florida tighten from October through December. See our snowbird auto transport page and the 2026–27 season guide.
Roads in and out
Carriers reach this area from I-95 (Hallandale Beach Boulevard, Hollywood Boulevard, Sheridan Street, Stirling Road and Griffin Road exits), Florida’s Turnpike, and I-595 to the north. Expect slow traffic around the airport interchange at I-95 and I-595 during rush hour. A1A and Hollywood Boulevard east of US-1 are slow all winter.

Hollywood, Hallandale & Dania Beach questions
Can the truck stop on A1A in front of my building?
It’s rarely safe or allowed. We set a meeting point a few minutes west, and you or the valet bring the car over.
I live in Hollywood Lakes. Can the carrier reach my street?
Sometimes. Low branches and tight corners decide it. Send us the address and we’ll tell you before booking whether it’s a doorstep pickup or a nearby meeting point.
Does it cost more to ship from a high-rise?
Usually not. The price depends mostly on the lane, the vehicle, the season and the transport type. Picking a meeting point that’s easy for the truck can actually help keep the pickup on schedule.
Do you handle shipping overseas from here?
No. We arrange car moves within the US by road only.
CTA: Send us your building or street, where the car is going and your dates. We’ll come back with a ballpark starting estimate and a pickup plan that works for south Broward.
Ready to get a quote?
Tell us where the car is, where it’s going and roughly when. We’ll give you a ballpark starting estimate, match you with a licensed carrier that runs the lane, and handle the booking from there.
