Northwest Broward is mostly suburb: family neighborhoods, good schools and newer gated communities. People here usually ship a car because the whole household is moving, a teenager is heading to college, or a second car needs to get to a new job out of state. Coral Springs, Parkland and Coconut Creek sit along the Sawgrass Expressway and Florida’s Turnpike, so carriers reach the area easily. Here’s how the last mile works in each one.
Coral Springs
Coral Springs is a planned city with wide boulevards like University Drive, Coral Ridge Drive, Sample Road, Wiles Road and Atlantic Boulevard. Many neighborhoods here can take a carrier right to the house. Others, especially the gated enclaves, have HOA rules that keep large trucks out. Low-hanging trees and cul-de-sacs are the other common reasons we use a meeting point. Shopping-center lots along University Drive and Sample Road work well for loading.
Family moves. When a whole household relocates, the car often ships separately from the moving van. Ask us to line up the car pickup a day or two after the movers so you’re not juggling both trucks on one street.
Parkland
Parkland is the most spread-out of the three, with larger lots, estate homes and big gated communities off Holmberg Road, Hillsboro Boulevard, Lox Road and Parkside Drive. Many of those communities have staffed gates and clear rules for commercial vehicles. A few things help:
- Ask the HOA about large-truck access and any permitted hours before you book.
- Measure your driveway approach if you’re hoping for a doorstep pickup. A long, curving drive with landscaping is fine for the car but not for a carrier, so the car usually gets loaded at the street.
- Think about enclosed for a garaged weekend car or a collector car. Parkland has plenty of both. See enclosed car shipping in Fort Lauderdale.
Coconut Creek
Coconut Creek mixes condos and 55+ communities with newer single-family neighborhoods. Larger condo communities often have guard gates and tight internal roads, and those usually mean a meeting point by the main entrance. The commercial lots along Lyons Road, Hillsboro Boulevard and State Road 7 are handy places to meet. Many residents here are seasonal, so our snowbird auto transport page is worth a look if you split the year.
Roads and timing
The Sawgrass Expressway (SR-869) is the main route in and out, linking I-75 in the southwest with I-95 near Deerfield Beach. Florida’s Turnpike runs along the east side with exits at Sample Road and Coconut Creek Parkway. Weekday school traffic is heavy on University Drive and Coral Ridge Drive in the early morning and mid-afternoon, so we try to schedule pickups around it.

Teens and college moves
Northwest Broward sends a lot of students to college every August. A carrier can take the car to campus (or near it) while the family flies. For schools within Florida, the in-state lanes are short and usually inexpensive. For out-of-state schools, book early, because late August is busy. See our college car shipping guide.
Coral Springs, Parkland & Coconut Creek questions
Can the carrier come to my house in Coral Springs?
Often, yes. Many Coral Springs streets are wide enough. Trees, cul-de-sacs and HOA rules decide it, and we’ll confirm with you before pickup day.
My Parkland community has a staffed gate. What do I need to do?
Add the driver to the visitor list with the date and window, and check whether the HOA allows large commercial trucks inside. If not, we meet outside the gate.
Should I ship my car with my household goods?
Most moving companies don’t carry cars, and car carriers don’t carry furniture. It’s simplest to book them separately and space them a day or two apart.
Can I leave things in the car?
Keep it to a minimum. Most carriers limit or don’t allow personal items in the car, and extra weight can cause problems. Ask us before you pack anything.
CTA: Send us your neighborhood, where the car is going and your dates. We’ll come back with a ballpark starting estimate and a pickup plan for your street.
Ready to get a quote?
Tell us where the car is, where it’s going and roughly when. We’ll give you a ballpark starting estimate, match you with a licensed carrier that runs the lane, and handle the booking from there.
